Wal-Mart is not all about buying only from over-seas, Chinese factories. They buy from American, local, owned, and operated companies when it makes sense and benefits everybody. Furthermore, they also try to buy from companies owned by minorities and women. Wal-Mart supports the local communities and economies; the suppliers create more jobs as a result of the demand; more workers creates more capital and a revenue stream into the economy. Everybody wins.

Wal-Mart increased its combined direct and second tier spend to more than $8.1 billion with minority- and women-owned businesses.

Wal-Mart has contributed to the growth of many companied in the US. After signing a contract with Wal-Mart, most companies have seen significant growth.

But Wal-Mart does not stop there. It also invests in the future generation of minority- and women-owned businesses. It has granted several scholarships to schools which promoted minority businesses. Wal-Mart is also part of several organizations which promote minority- and women-owned businesses.

I am planning on using this text to support the idea that Wal-MArt creates jobs all over America rather that killing jobs off. It also proves Wal-Mart cares about the local and minority communities.
